အခုအချိန်မှာ OS တွေ အပြိုင်အဆိုင် ဖြစ်နေကြပြီ။ Windows , Mac , Linux ဆိုပြီး အပြိုင်အဆိုင်ဖြစ်နေကြပါတယ်။ ဒါက desktop ပေါ်မှာ ပြိုင်ဆိုင်မှုတွေပေါ့။ ဒါ့အပြင် hand phone ပေါ်မှာလည်း ပြိုင်ဆိုင်မှုတွေ စပါပြီ။ Google ရဲ့ android ကလည်း စိတ်ဝင်စားစရာပါ။ အကုန်လုံးက သိကြပါတယ်။ Desktop ပေါ်ပြီးရင် Web ပေါ်ရောက်လာမယ်။ application တွေကို web ပေါ်မှာ run မယ်။ ပြီးရင် hand phone နဲ့ web တွဲမယ်။ အဲဒီအတွက် hand phone လောကရဲ့ OS အတွက် စတင်ပြိုင်ဆိုင်နေကြပါပြီ။ android က open handset ဖြစ်ပြီး hand phone OS အတွက် စိတ်ဝင်စားမှု တစ်ခုပါ။ သူအောင်မြင်မယ်လို့လည်း ပြောမရလို့ အောင်မြင်မှာ မဟုတ်ဘူးလို့လည်း ပြောမရဘူးဗျ။ ဘာဖြစ်လို့လည်းဆိုတော့ Linux လည်း အောင်မြင်စရာလို့ ထင်ရပေမယ့် Windows လောက်မအောင်မြင်သေးတာအမှန်ပါ။ ဒါပေမယ့် အနာဂတ်အတွက် linux ကို တဖြည်းဖြည်း စိတ်ဝင်စားလာကြပါတယ်။
အကုန်လုံးက hand phone အတွက် OS စျေးကွက်ဆီကို ဦးတည်နေကြပါတယ်။ windows mobile , iPhone , Symbian OS က စျေးကွက်ရှိပြီးသားတွေဖြစ်ပြီး အခု android ကလည်း စတင်ထိုးဖောက်တော့မှာပါ။
ကျွန်တော်တို့ အနာဂတ်ကို မျှော်ကြည့်ရအောင်။ ကျွန်တော်မြင်တဲ့ အနာဂတ်က ကျွန်တော့်အမြင်မှာ။ မဖြစ်နိုင်ဘူးလို့လည်း ဆိုချင်ဆိုပါ။ ကျွန်တော်ကတော့ ကျွန်တော့် အမြင်ကို ပွင့်ပွင့်လင်းလင်း ရေးသားမှာပါ။
အမှန်တိုင်းဆိုရင် ကျွန်တော်တို့တွေဟာ OS ကို အလေးထားလာတာကိုတွေ့ရမှာပါ။ OS ရှိမှ application တွေ အလုပ်လုပ်နိုင်မှာလေ။ ဒါဆို OS မရှိရင် မဖြစ်ဘူးပေါ့။ နောက်တစ်ချက်က internet ။ ကျွန်တော်တို့တွေဟာ ဘယ် OS ပဲသုံးသုံး internet သုံးလို့ရပါတယ်။ အနာဂတ်မှာကော။ OS ရှိမှ internet သုံးလို့ရမှာလား။ OS မရှိပဲ internet connection ချိတ်လို့မရဘူးလား။
အဲဒီအတွက် hand phone ကိုကြည့်ရအောင်။ hand phone OS သေးသေးလေး နဲ့ internet ချိတ်လို့ရတယ်။ နောက်ပြီး အမျိုးမျိုးသော device တွေကလည်း internet ချိတ်လို့ရပါတယ်။ ဒါဟာ စိတ်ဝင်စားစရာနည်းပညာပါ။ ကျွန်တော်တို့ PC တွေကကော windows မတက်လာပဲ…. Linux မတက်လာပဲ… internet သုံးလို့မရဘူးလား။ မရပါဘူး။ အခုချိန်ထိ မရသေးပါဘူး။ တစ်ချို့ device တွေတော့ ကြားဘူးတယ်။ computer မဖွင့်ပဲ email စစ်တာတွေ internet ကြည့်တာတွေ လုပ်လို့ရတယ်တဲ့။ ဒါပေမယ့် လူတွေ သိပ်ဂရုမပြုမိသလို သိသိသာသာ အောင်မြင်မှုလည်း မရခဲ့ပါဘူး။
ကျွန်တော့်အမြင်တော့ နောက်တချိန် PC hardware တွေက windows မဖွင့်ပဲနဲ့ internet တိုက်ရိုက် ချိတ်ဆက်လာနိုင်လောက်ပါမယ်။ ဘာမှ သုံးလို့မရပေမယ့် browser လေးတစ်ခုဖွင့်လို့ရရုံနဲ့ လုံလောက်ပါတယ်။ OS မရှိပဲ ဘာလုပ်မှာလဲလို့ မေးစရာရှိတယ်။
OS ကိုဘာလို့သုံးတာလဲ။ သာမာန် user အတွက် သီချင်း နားထောင် ၊ video ကြည့် ၊ အခွေကူး ၊ ပုံဆွဲ အပြင် အခြား အမျိုးမျိုးသော အရာတွေအတွက်ပေါ့။ Web ပေါ်မှာ အခုအချိန် အရာအားလုံးကို မစွမ်းဆောင်နိုင်သေးပါဘူး။ စွမ်းဆောင်နိုင်လည်း တစ်စုထဲ ဖြစ်မနေသေးပါဘူး။ ဒါလုပ်ချင်ရင် ဟို website သွား။ ဒီ website သွားနဲ့ဆိုလည်း မဖြစ်သေးပါဘူး။
အဲဒီအချိန်ဆိုရင် ကျွန်တော်တို့တွေအတွက် Web OS တွေ တွင်ကျယ်လာကောင်းလာမှာပါ။ Web OS တွေကို သုံးကြည့်တော့ Linux လောက်တောင် မကောင်းသေးတာကို တွေ့ရပါတယ်။ သဘောတော့ ကျစရာဖြစ်ပေမယ့် သုံးရတာ နှေးတယ်။ ကျွန်တော့် connection ကြောင့်လည်း ဖြစ်မှာပါ။ ဒါပေမယ့် အနာဂတ်မှာ အားကိုးစရာဖြစ်ကောင်း ဖြစ်လာနိုင်ပါတယ်။
တကယ်လို့ connection တွေဟာ ကြောက်ခမန်းလိလိ လျှင်မြင်လာရင် microsoft အနေနဲ့ OS ကြီးကို web ပေါ်တင်ဖို့ စဉ်းစားကောင်း စဉ်းစားလာနိုင်ပါတယ်။ ဒီလို ခိုးကူးခွေတွေကို ထိန်းချုပ်ခြင်းအတွက် web ကနေ အသုံးပြုနိုင်တာ အကောင်းဆုံးပဲ။ ဒါကြောင့် OS တွေကို အနာဂတ်မှာ web ပေါ်ကို ပြောင်းလာနိုင်ပါတယ်။ Web ပေါ်မှာလည်း open source OS နဲ့ ဝယ်သုံးရတဲ့ OS တွေဆိုပြီး ဖြစ်လာနိုင်ပါတယ်။ ဘယ်လောက်ကြာမလဲဆိုတာတော့ မသိပါဘူး။ internet connection အလွန်ကောင်းဖို့လိုပါတယ်။ ဒါဟာ ကျွန်တော့် အတွေးပါ။

အကုန်လုံးက သူ့ဟာနဲ့သူ ကောင်းပါတယ်။ အမြန်ဆုံးကတော့ eyeOS ပါ။ သဘောအကျဆုံးကတော့ Ulteo နဲ့ desktop two ပါ။ ဒါပေမယ့် သုံးရတာ နည်းနည်း ကြာတယ်။ Ulteo ကတော့ တက်လာဖို့ စောင့်ရတာ အကြာကြီး။ Screnn Shoot ပဲကြည့်လိုက်ရတယ်။ ထပ်ပြီးတော့ သုံးဖို့ကြိုးစားကြည့်ရအုံးမယ်။
For me, I’m not so interested about webOS. Inititally, I had a thought to creaet webOS with Ajax but I check-out Google Doc.. It’s not so successful. Why? Because the reason is very simple. People don’t like to put their confidential data on other’s server.. no matter what.. I believe it’s reallly long long way to go..

I haven’t tried using Android. I’m currently using Windows Mobile 6.. I want to upgrade to 6.5 but I didn’t hear anything about that from HTC ..
I more prefer to use Windows Mobile other than Symbian OS or etc since I’m using Windows for all other machines….
Like one of my friend said that using Linux is good when we are free. When he was in Collage, he used to contribute the patch or sourcecode to Linux. It was fun.. but when he get into business, he reliaze that wondows work for him.. pretty well, actually. A lot things go so easy in Windows.. You can read his original post here.

Success of a technology does not solely depend on advancement and advantages of that certain technology.
Windows is successful and holding major market share in certain industries because of the business model of Microsoft. Technologically speaking, Windows is inferior in many ways to Linux. But any business models that Linux community is practicing is still no match to Microsoft.
