Global setup:

Download and install Git git config –global user.name “Your Name”

git config –global user.email “Your Email”

Next steps:

mkdir projectdir

cd projectdir git init

touch README Making File git add README Adding File git add . Add All File git commit -m ‘first commit’

git remote add origin git@github.com:username/projectname.git

git push origin master

cd existing_git_repo

git remote add origin git@github.com:username/projectname.git git push origin master
